Ok guys this question has been on my mind for a LONG time.
When someone says, "Get out and DO something!"
What am I supposed to do? I never understand. My town really isn't the most eventful...and the events we do have are for older-folk (55+).
It's about an hour commute to any other city where events happen, but I'm not a huge advocate for long commutes.
I don't know. It's not like I don't want to go out and have fun/do something, it's just that there isn't anything around to DO.
I know asking this question on 4chan is ironic, but I'd love to hear you guys' opinion on the matter.

you have decided there is nothing to do and you are unwilling to travel a whole hour to do something, so we can't help, nor can anyone else.
An hour is not a long commute, and if you take public transport it flies by in no time. You're just finding excuses to not do shit.

>people keep telling you to go out and do something
>but theres nothing to do
>so they're just being hypocrites doing nothing all their lives
uh huh.

They probably mean go out with friend even doing nothing like watching a movie or just drink a beer
Maybe they just want you to empty the dishwasher

I guess what I'm asking is what is usually meant by "doing" something
I'm going to school, I have a part time job, and I go to the gym like 3 days a week.
I just don't understand it what else I could be "doing"
I would go out with friends but their schedules never mesh with mine, nor are they a convenient distance. When they come to town or I find time to drive up there it's awesome.
I guess what I'm asking is what are some things that I can do by myself? I sometimes go to the bookstore, but even that gets dry.
Sorry if I seem like a smartass or stubborn but I'm genuinely confused.
