I have no idea if there is a proper tooth but if you remove the front one you will have a large visible hole in your gums which I doubt you will be able to stitch properly so it won't heal closed well.

There are these crazy things called payment plans... You can probably work out a deal and bargain on the cost, and then pay it out over the course of a year. Most dentists/drs offices don't mind as long as they get paid.

Don't do it anon, I have the same case as you, I went to a dentist and what happens is that my teeth are bigger then they should (some shit about calcium) he said the teeth on top (a fang) is an important one (don't remember why) what he wanted to do is take out another teeth from the back, one we don't really use and then use brackets so the fang and the teeth behind gets on their place correctly. But he said all the process would take around 3 years or so. In the end I couldn't afford it because my father didn't helped me with it (I was a minor back then) but is kinda serious shit. (sorry for bad English)
