So there's this girl that I really like, and recently a mutual friend of ours told me that she might be interested in me as well, especially if I lost a bit of weight. I started seriously working out a recently so I figured that I'd just wait a little bit until I asked her out, but yesterday in our friend circle's group chat she very excitedly told us that a guy she has liked for a while asked her out. I don't want to be my typical beta self and just give up on her, but I'm unsure of how to go about it I guess. I want to tell her how I feel, but I don't know when the best time for that would be and I also want to be able to save our friendship if she doesn't feel the same way.
If she liked you, she wouldn't be so excited about the other guy. And if you weren't so fat, maybe she'd have been interested in you now. Face it, you've lost.

Your points are fair, but aren't really advice. Thanks anyway :)

She already classified you as a friend, not a potential boyfriend/lover. These are mutually exclusive categories with women, and you only have a short window of opportunity after meeting a woman to influence which category she puts you in.

>your points are fair, but I'm looking for a hugbox echochamger

indeed that is the only advice. she has already put you aside (for now).
either you wait and next time you'll be ready or just move on.
but keep losing weight, fat ass

Don't tell her, move on.

Don't be just another fat idiot.
Ask her out now
If she says no, lose weight anyway
