Like practically all OPs on this site of type "Why-is-X", the premise, X, on close inspection turns out to be false or non-verifiable. Is it actually the case that Amerishits think it's bad to be a virgin? Nah, they probably don't think that anymore than other people/cultures.

A saner question would be "Why is it that there are some people who think it's bad to be a virgin or who have prejudices aginst virgins?".
The answer is probably that these people are vapid, over-social and over-hierarchical idiots who look for things in their fellow human beings over which they can socially coerce them and build a feeling of superiority.

The idea is simple: If you're a virgin, you clearly suck at life since anyone that is worth anything is capable of sex. No one would deny sex because sex is awesome.

It's not just burgerland either. Pretty sure that these opinions exist around the world where the culture isn't particularly prudish.
