I'm known for splurging on brithday gifts for friends. i dont do this because i want them to do the same, if i did id just buy myself the gift. I do this because I get happy knowing that i got the right gift for them ,even if expensive.

They are taking advantage of you. Turn it around on them. Next time someone asks you to bring them food and it's a bit inconvenient for you, just offer some resistance (crack a joke, but not in a tard way) - say something like "I don't wanna encourage your unhealthy eating habits.. I mean they say healthy at any weight but..." and when she gets up to get something, ask her to pick you up one too.
