I have a hard time focusing on studying, finishing my work, etc.

Do what you need to do when you need to do it. I sincerely doubt ridding yourself of videogames is going to cure poor focus.

Finish your studying and work before you turn on the computer / console

if you go cold turkey you'll just relapse. try to use video games as a reward for getting work done.

IMHO It's really good to keep your gaming space and working spaces completely separate.

If you see your playstation/xbox/computer when you need to work you're more inclined to move to it, but if you make sure you leave it behind a closed door until the rest of your work is done it's easier to resist what you can't see.

Not that it's easy in the end. Especially if you have to work while on the computer. Good luck, mate!
