honestly it's ideal, I didn't get high my first time but some people are different.

just remember, you can always smoke more, you can't un-smoke a bowl, so take 2 hits and wait 10 minutes to see how you feel

My first high was kind of bad but I had my friend with more experience there to help guide me through it and keep me grounded. Make sure to have some things you can preoccupy yourself with, like movies and games as others have suggested. It comes down to what kind of person you are - I'm pretty anxious and shit, while my friend is a lot more laid back.
