Me (18) and my brother (24) found out today that my dad had an affair for the past 2 years. The person I looked up to for my whole life did something I don't think I can forgive.
I feel absolutely torn and I can't take it. I don't know what to do. We have no idea if they're getting a divorce yet, we don't know what will happen to the house.
I just want to move with my brother but I know this situation will keep tearing at me. What should I do?
>fuck you dad you manchild what the fuck
>you are still my dad though
i suggest not running away from the situation, its how ppl develop those "parent" issues
>The person I looked up to for my whole life did something I don't think I can forgive.
sorry, what?
Why does he need your forgiveness? How did he wrong you? Who he fucks has absolutely nothing to do with you. You're not married to him.
It's none of your fucking business, and if you try to make it so (wah I can't forgive my daddy) you're just a fucking drama queen.

My dad cheated on my mom since day one and she only found out when I was 13. Theyve been divorced for 8 years. I cut off contact after telling him off because it completely broke my mother, and he doesnt even care. My dad is a super rich drug addicted psychopath though, so Im not sure if the circumstances in your sit. permit the same response as reasonable. Arent you a man? Make up your own mind breh.

this happened to me when i was 17.
mom cheated on dad
mom moved into a different house
dad sold the house and gave half to my mom
my brother went to go live with his friends and i got a shitty retail job while dad was organizing things to move overseas.
dad moved overseas and i went to go live with mom and be cucked by her bf while i figure out wtf im going to do with my life
good luck anon
That is not a so big deal. Cheating happens to a lot of people. Maybe he was just boring to be with the same person since the beginning of his lif, or maybe he fell in love. That kind of things happen, don't be too severe with him. Notinhg is either all black or all white.

>t. cheating asshat

Everyone makes mistakes anon, no one is perfect. Not even your parents. Make peace with the situation, dont hold grudges. Good luck

i've heard of this happening to another family, I'd just cut contact with my dad if I were you and be good to your mother. After they divorce he won't deserve to be treated well for what he's done.
