An airline lost my luggage and I've been stranded in Paris for 13 days without any money or clothes.

They havent tried to contact me, they haven't tried to accomodate me in any way and I'm looking forward to suing them.

I have no means to contact them since they give me voicemails and a practically non-existant customer service.

What am I in for, how much can I get, what will I have clean underwear again

good luck with that lawsuit. this shit happens all the time. If it was feasible to sue airlines over this, they would be getting sued to hell and back thousands of times a year.

Well no actually most articles online say that they're supposed to pay for your shit while you're going about and they have made no effort to do that. Maybe I haven't detailed how often I've called, because I've done it at least twice a week and they haven't even hinted at the idea of taking resposibility or trying to help me out financially. I know it seems like a deadbeat thing to just come around looking for problems and asking for dough but I'm dead ass naked here.

Do you have experience with this? do you believe there's nothing to be had if I fight this through?

Are you a US citizen? I know that for EU carriers there exists a piece of legislation called the Montreal Convention which governs airlines responsibility in these sorts of events.

When the luggage went missing did you get a PIR? (property irregularity report)

Have you tried contacting your travel insurer to see if they offer any cover? A lot of policies I'm aware of will reimburse for delayed luggage.

I don't know much about this but I'm pretty sure that the airlines themselves aren't responsible for baggage handling etc. Airports subcontract baggage handling/loading/whatever else out to specialized companies so I would imagine that suing the airline isn't going to get you anywhere.

No, I have no experience with this other than it's happened to people I know. I don't really know what the end results were.

I just figured these airlines would try to cover their asses with disclaimers since lost luggage is a fairly common issue.
