>Do literally nothing all day
>No motivation
>Evening arrives
>Suddenly find the focus to work on stuff for hours.
Is this a common thing?

yes. when you wake up you feel you have the whole day to do anything, so might as well have some fun first, cuz you can always work later.
then as the day goes on the thing you found fun are now becoming the stress. when you first play a game its fun, when you finish, you're burnt out. same with binge watching.
then by evening you get your 'third wind' and your energy comes back and since you're tired of relaxing shit you want to work, but you still got this sleepy haze coming in.
happens to me too
Yep
Once you start going you want to keep going
So the hard part is starting
Wake up early and do something outside of the house early on
And suddenly the day feels 10x longer as you're in the "work" mode earlier

No man, the opposite is true for me. When I get up in the morning (assuming I've had enough sleep), I can get tons of shit done. As the day goes on I lose energy.
I'm 33, maybe that makes a difference?
