I really suck at communicating but want to get better. What are some good books/resources on communicating effectively?
what is it that you don't think you communicate well?
It's more of an anxiety issue. I know what I want to say but then what I never get to convey it in the way I want to because I'm anxious

No problem. So, what would be an example of you trying to say something but then you can't manage your anxiety?

Well when I try to say it I talk fast, then my mind races, then I panic because Im trying to remember what I was going to say. It's either that or I don't say it at all and just keep it to myself because I'm too nervous to express

I can relate OP. Thank you for the example. I struggle with severe anxiety myself. I've found it really helpful for me to write down beforehand what I want to say. Or, if I can't write it down beforehand, I'll rehearse an outline of sorts in my mind while square breathing or going 54321 in my head (looking at 5 objects in the room, 4 things I'm feeling, 3 things I taste in my mouth, 2 breaths of air, and one long exhale) before talking.

It's kind of reassuring to know I'm not alone. I'll try out this method hopefully it'll help

Yeah I know what you mean. I love knowing there are others out in this world like us. There are so many more coming techniques. Do a google search and you'll find all kinds of stuff. Try what works for you.
