how do i dodge hanging out with normies from work? a guy keeps asking me to hang out (I'm a guy btw) but I want to just be his friend at work and not outside. why do normies want to hang out?
I have no desire to chill with him outside of work but he's been very insistent that we should "chill outside of here brah" ..he's one of the only people I talk to at work so how do I resolve this cleanly

You can say you're busy or just be straight up and say you like to keep work separate from the rest of your life.
god I hate this, I find it's often people married with children who always want to go out on for a drink or whatever

OTOH maybe he wants to fill you in on some really important office gossip
maybe go once & then just explain yourself - i don't socialize i'm a weirdo etc etc

You got this under control, anon. This is what I say "I'm not here to make friends, I'm here for the money!"

Men. They seize every opportunity to get away from wife and kids. Can't blame them.
