Pondering whether it's possible for me to get a degree in Aerospace or Mechanical or Electrical engineering, and then try to get a job at CSA/NASA/SpaceX. What do you think?:
Currently have a diploma in "computer programming" from a college. Most of the stuff we were taught in college I already knew or could have learned by opening a programming tutorial on the Internet. In general program felt weak and I got away with a very high GPA because of that. After a short programming internship haven't coded anything again.
Haven't touched math or anything science related since high school. In school, passed math classes with 65-70% on average, but never got to calculus level because I switched to another class. Chemistry classes were always a solid 50%, but failed grade 12 chem. Physics I got maybe 60-70%.
Be honest - am I doomed from the start?

Depends on whether you weren't trying or are low IQ.
Are your parents wealthy or are you just a moron wasting your degree?
Also, code something for me.

>Are your parents wealthy or are you just a moron wasting your degree?
The latter.
Should I bump now?

you basically need all As to get hired at NASA because they have about 5,000 applicants for every 1 job

Contrary to memes, those majors have horrible prospects in America. Go for nepotism if you want a job like your parents had.

That's discouraging.

This. There's no such thing as being "good enough" in the sciences anymore. Be the 1 in 5000 or find a different pursuit.

I don't necessarily want to work for NASA. I'm more interested in getting through higher education when I barely made it in science classes in high school. I just want to know more about the world science-wise. NASA is just a pipe dream, a benchmark.
I already have a diploma and a job that pays okay and is not a dead end one.
If I can get bachelor of sciences in x, then i'll definitely want to keep going and get y and z too.
I have money, free and i'm aimless/don't know what i want from life or who to be.

>I barely made it in science classes
what about liberal arts or legal or medicine ?
science is an innate talent LOL if you have to study alot to "get it" well that is gods way of letting you know to try a different major

Go get a PhD then. Do research and get a job as an assistant professor working your way up to professor. I am not sure how old you are but if you are in your early 20s do this now and you can get your qualification by the time you are in your early 30s.
didn't a guy want to detonate bombs on the poles to try and start life on mars but got shut down because they thought they found water
