So one of my shift managers keeps giving me the finnish courtesy tango about that time I asked leave from work because I was too tired and hung over to work.
Long story short, I had a night few hours too long one time between christmas and new year's, and when my alarm blared at 5 AM I'd scarcely slept a few hours and I was still more drunk than hung over.
I somewhat managed at work for 3 hours before giving in and admitting to myself that I can't freaking go on another 5, and asked for the leave for the rest of the day, which he granted, asking if I had some way to get home safely (translation: you're not going to drive reeking that much like whiskey), which I did as I only have a walk to work.
The next time we were on the same shift he inquired if I got my sleep schedule in order and I admitted to doing so, saying how I really need to do better with them. The standard 'I-know' and 'I-know-that-you-know', which is all fine and well and up to the etiquette.
But then he brought it up again today, a 'hey-remember-that-I-remember' in the same polite tone. I did answer accordingly, also letting him know I have some preparations for if and when I lose this job, but I have no damn clue what he'd be up to. It's been weeks and I haven't done any kind of a repeat offense, and whatever proof he has consists without doubt of my word against his.
What would a grown-ass man choose to be petty for? Why loom this over my head when I have aknowledged that I fucked up and made my reassurances that it won't happen again?

Hopefully. I mean, he knows the dance, and has probably has noted that I know it high-heels-and-backwards, but bringing it up after the situation's settled is just rude, and making it a threat just stupid unless you've got something in your sleeve, and the reek of booze doesn't show up on security cameras.

Why put up with someone who comes in late and drunk when there's a lot of hard working deserving people out there that could use a job? Not too mention how embarrassing for the company to have some dirty stinky drunk represent who's mouth probably still reeks from joe blows cock from the bar the night before. I didn't come in LATE. The only time I've ever been late without calling them well ahead of time for a heads-up, I left work in an ambulance.
And I don't work in customer service. And I do work hard and I am responsible, and I know that doesn't make me special.

He's not even my boss, he's a supervisor. A higher-up, yes, but not boss. He doesn't TOUCH the shit we do downstairs, nor does he lose money from me cashing in vacation hours that I had earned earlier. I've seen folks asking leave hours early for less.
