I know, that guy I replied to. Most novels are researched thoroughly. Even fantasy is extrapolated from knowedge or reality. Dune couldn't have been written without extensive historical knowedge to draw upon. Fuck, any Michael Crichton book is gaurenteed to have 200 pages of dick waving on how much he researched in the exposition.
