Thinking about joining a club in college just to make friends.

depends on the club. i joined a nature club to go hiking with people but i still haven't made any friends.

ended up being elected president even tho i don't personally know anyone there. you only get as much out of it as you know how to take away. if you don't know how to make friends, a club doesn't seem to be any better than anywhere else

Not entirely true. I joined a lab because a professor asked me to and everyone there pushed to become friends with me even though I'm antisocial as fuck. It's partially luck.

They're usually a pretty good time and a good way to make a few groups or circles of friends. That'll also help you avoid the whole "I'M SO LONELY AND CAN'T MEET PEOPLE" shit this board is ripe with.
