tl;dr what would you pay for pic related
I've got an 86 Ranger, pic related. I wanna sell it cause my bones are telling me it's not gonna last much longer, though there is nothing wrong with the engine, tranny, etc.
~123,000 miles, 2.9 v6, 4 speed auto, long bed, no rust, interior and exterior are 8/10, recently replaced fuel pump, inertia valve, ECM, and stereo (new head unit, speakers and sub w/ amp). A/C has leaked out all r12. Tires are 85%.
Really it's a great truck, and in awesome condition considering it's 30 years old, but my gut is telling me it's got to go.
Bought it for 2 grand, have dumped about 1 grand into it fixing it up. I've got delusions of grandeur that some old dude will want a nice old truck and pay me top dollar for it or some bullshit, but that's dumb. What would you pay for it?
I also asked /o/, but wanted to know what /adv/ thinks. Thanks ya'll.

That looks like a piece of fucking shit. I'd pay like 200$ max for it.

fair

Look up the bluebook value. It looks like an unsafe sardine can on wheels to me. Good condition though.

>86' Ranger
>~126,000 miles
I'd take it off your hands for 1,200, too bad I don't have the spare cash but that's just what I need.
Like you said, it's old. Not many people will take a chance on it other than a beater. $1000 I'd say, if you guarantee it passes inspection.
"my bones are telling me it's not gonna last much longer" That's what most other's will think too

lul no inspections in northern AZ. I don't think it'll be obvious to anyone that drives it once that it's gonna crap out soon or whatever. It's a weird, subtle thing that I only picked up on after driving it for months. Some bullshit unnnnnnhhhdriversfeel~ thing I guess

poke around craigslist do search for similar age trucks & see what they sell for

Oh I have been. I like opinions tho
I bought my 92 ranger with 100k miles and 5 speed manual with perfect paint and new tires for $2,000. I say as long as a car is straight bodied and runs with no problems it is worth $2,000. But you're probably not getting more than that
