How can I tell my friend group that I have autism without them

You could share with them how nervous you probably feel bringing this up with them. I've noticed the people who don't have a mental/mood disorder don't really understand us. The more information about it the better. And, letting them know how they can be supportive friends to you and not treat you freakishly is good too.
