How does one pass their driving test first time?
I'm getting lessons once a week and to be honest it's hell. My parents won't let me drive their cars because "muh insurance". Do you think it's possible to pass with lessons alone?

Be good at driving.
But seriously, I passed first time because I had the opportunity to drive a car out of lessons. It gave me the confidence which is one of the most important things when taking your test. It stops you focusing on doing things step by step because you're being watched, and allows it to become more natural and second nature.
If you can, try and convince your parents to insure you on their car (even on a temporary basis, which you can do in the UK) and pay for it. I can guarantee it will help you massively when it comes to your test.

Try n drive between lessons i drove almost everyday the week vefore it and i passed the first time
Yes it's possible.
Have your instructor do a mock test before you go to the actual one and you should be fine.

Thanks lads. Ireland reporting in. Dad said he would let me use his car. He also said he might buy my aunts car so I can practice all day in. Thanks for the advice. Really helped.

I've never driven a car, prior to lesions and I still passed...Never understood why people make a big deal out of it.
It's important to pay attention to your surroundings, pay attention to sings, if someone is standing on a crossing lane and slow driving>fast driving.
