If someone were to paint a roadrunner tunnel, and a person were to crash into it, who would be legally responsible for the crash? Keep in mind the painter had no intentions of deceit.

If I leave a gun in my front yard and a kiddie shoots themselves in the head am I legally responsible?
If someone were to point a laser at an aircraft, and a person were to crash it, who would be legally responsible for the crash? Keep in mind the idiot had no intentions of harm.

If there was no intent, it'd still be an accident caused by the graffiti artist and he could be charged.

Which one, the one driving or the one with the laser :-D

Already a felony even if it doesn't crash.
They do look for the source, also.
If they were able to identify the painter they would be held liable for a number of charges including criminal mischief for sure. Probably some other shit to do with causing harm to somebody. The painter would have to prove what they did wasn't mean to harm anyone and it'd be pretty hard to do that because just saying so isn't enough for court...
So the painter is responsible but it's unlikely you'd be discovered unless you were caught in the act or on camera, or just straight up confessed on social media or something because you thought it was funny.

Reckless endangerment? I don't know, I'm not a lawyer, but I feel like someone's gonna have hell to pay in that scenario.
