Anyway op, i guess it depends on the gravity of his actions. If he did bad stuff you should at least talk about it with some friends, you're not talking shit if you're just telling the truth.

I would either tell a close friend of his or someone in his family, whoever you know better. Tell them he is physically abusive and it concerns you and you think he needs help.

I know we like to say blah blah blah the abuser can never change. It is not true but it does depend on the extent of the abuse, the length of time it has been going on, and whether or not he has any part of himself that wants to make a change.

Don't spread it around like gossip though. You might find yourself jumped one day if he truly is violent.
