>Ex Carpenter/Tile Setter
>10+ years experience
>Become full time engineering student
>Go to school in really affluent area near Silicon Valley
>Rent about 4-600 to share a room
>Paid off truck
>About 3k saved up
>Buying enclosed cargo trailer to live out of
Here is the dilemma
>$300 for hitch installation
>6x12 cargo trailer is $3600
>6x14 cargo trailer is $4700
>4-5 years of schooling
Should I just spend the extra money to get the larger vehicle?
What are some flaws in this plan?
What else should I consider?
Anyone else ever do a tiny home project?
Is 2k a good amount for a down payment (for either)?
Any other general advice is welcomed

why don't you just rent a cheap room instead of having to jump through hoops of the off-grid lifestyle?
I mean, as great as it sounds on paper, showering at the gym, shitting at the gas station, it really makes life an everyday hassle that could simply be avoided if you just suffer with being broke for awhile to get yourself made up.
I mean, by all means if that's what you want to do, go ahead but I'd rather just pay for the room.

>cheap room
>California
I like the idea of mobile living, but god damn being a full time student and trying to afford all that along with any type of decent commodities is gonna be difficult no matter which way you go.
I dont really have any advice but I do wish you luck in your endeavors OP.

No privacy within my price range. I mean, full studios or rooms are well up into 1k at the very least where I'm at unless I want to commute
I hate dealing with roommates
Trying to minimize loans and debt
Work out and shower at the gym everyday already
I'd rather have a room but financially I have no help. I'm 2 years into school but still have quite a bit to go til I'm done

I'd leave California for cheaper schooling/living if I could
