hey guys, i need to find a new job. right now i work at an automotive parts store, and i fucking hate it. it's a lot of work, and the amount of work i do is definitely not proportionate to the amount i get paid. i hate going into work every day, and i leave every day feeling as if it's not worth it.
i go to school, and i need a job that would pay more, but the same amount of hours.
i just need advice on where to look, and suggestions on a new type of job i should look into- keep in mind i don't want it to interfere with my school, something i can just clock in, work hard, leave, then not worry about when i'm at home.
thanks.

If you're balancing work and school then there's no where you can go that you won't hate. Employers typically don't care to work around schedules, even if they are for school. At this point I'd take whatever interests you more than the automotive store.

well i love cars, but the automotive store doesn't really interest me since it's just usually boring economy cars that i'm dealing with.
part of the reason why i want to leave is because it's so much work, there has to be a job i can pick that pays more but has the same amount of hours.

What did you expect? Custom order 24" rims on a Charger SS?
Niggha' please. 99% of car work is on shitboxes, barely road legal rust buckets and buzzing chink machines.
And I worked in body shops, as a mechanic and a dealer.
Cars as you imagine them happen only on the discovery channel.

If you expected any different then ordering parts for Civics and Corollas you had an unrealistic view of the job, I can understand how you got bored. The problem is that if you're in school I imagine you're working part time. Most places that employ part time are ships and restaurants, and your pay is not going to increase by much.
What are your hobbies?

>well i love cars
then stick with this job
you are learning stuff about cars & all the parts etc
later you will have several years of experience working in auto parts store and you can use this to get another job deailing with cars
