Keep the chatting up, make her laugh, and when she pulls the "you're moving too quickly!" card simply ask her what she means/for an explanation and then don't do that shit with that girl. Maybe she thought you wanted to buy her flowers and thought that was taking the relationship too far too quickly? Either way you could have defused it with a simple "I like you but I don't like you, know what I mean?".
