I have confronted her about it and she always just says she's uncomfortable with it. The thing that makes it worse is that we were going through all her photos once (not just nudes) and she had a shit ton of nudes all in one place taken from one day and she was like oh yeah I just randomly took those one day while I was studying. Either way you just have to deal with it, or don't ask questions, girls are often insecure so if she's not happy with her body then she's less inclined to be "adventurous" as you say. Maybe help her lose some weight and her confidence might come back. It's likely not an issue of her ex being better than you in any way, just a reflection on herself. Just don't get visibly upset about it and continue appreciating the way she looks and she might come around eventually.

I've told girlfriends in the past that they are better than my ex because for 1, it helps with their insecurities, and 2, it was the truth.

Also, ex's tend to come up in conversation if you've spent a considerable length of your life with them, they are a part of your history and ignoring a large chunk of your life because you're dating someone new is pretty immature.

I don't really see how this picture has been painted, she has nudes of herself when she was in a more positive frame of mind about her own body. And otherwise she tried to reassure OP by saying he is hotter and better than her ex, which is likely true. I don't doubt she has feelings for her ex but in the majority of cases these feelings aren't romantic, I too would cry if my ex died but I don't care to date them again. I'd rather give OP's girlfriend the benefit of the doubt for his sake and piece of mind then to jump to negative conclusions, because from everything he said she seems up front and honest about her ex and the things they did when she is asked.

That's reasonable enough, if nudes are really that important to you maybe try to flirt your way to some, and if you ever receive one just floor her with compliments for it. If she's not comfortable and has a history of being pressured into it with her ex you might need to just let it go and appreciate the real thing.
