I am not sure if getting a desktop computer was a good idea after all. Should I sell it or something and get a laptop? I mean, I like my desktop computer but a laptop would be much easier to move around and I could have all my important stuff with me anywhere. What should I do?

Sell it. If you don't have the "muh gayman" mind, then laptop it is.

Depends on your needs. If power isn't important for you, a laptop is generally not a bad idea.
I've got a 1,5k desktop setup with three 24" monitors but prefer to work on my 12" laptop that's barely faster than a phone.

When I first got it, I did have gaming in mind, too, but now I don't use it for games much. Plus, most of the games I play on it are not that demanding, I am guessing that even a relatively good laptop could handle them. And I probably don't need that much power either.
But how do I even go about selling it? I built it about 1 and half year ago, would it still have any value at all? Should I sell it as separate parts?

Lately I have pretty much only been using it for browsing the Internet(I do have tons of tabs open though), watching anime and other light tasks like that. I mostly move around from uni to my parents' house during holidays and such so I can pack it up and put it in the car but a laptop would be easier to move and if I have to take the bus I can't take it with me.

a laptop is better if you wanna blow money every 2 to 4 years when you need to upgrade, while a desktop will last you longer and is cheaper to upgrade.
