I'm taking a major called "IT multimedia" (which is about app design/web design/movie editing/game developing/editing, a combination between info tech and multimedia). But i'm afraid i won't be able to find a job with this degree and i'm thinking of switching to computer science. My professors keep assuring me that "oh this profession is needed in the market!" "it's too early to think about jobs!"
But i'm still paranoid and i still don't believe them. Should i switch?
It depends where you want to work. Companies for the foreseeable future will always need web developers and "designers" who can manage their content on the internet. But they'll also need people to work on backend stuff. Would you rather be a jack of all trades software equivalent to "English" or a more specific software equivalent of "technical writer"? Clearly the money is going to be better for the technical writer, but the English major will have more varied misc skills that could come in handy someday.

That's an incredibly vague major and "Information Technology Multimedia" doesn't even make sense. Drop that major and go into computer science, graphic design, or multimedia.
Bumping because I want to change from cs to industrial design

what do you think of cs?

The programming and the Math is alright but the science behind computer hardware, memories, CPU and logic gates and such is quite dull
