I have one more final this semester, it's tomorrow morning, and I feel like shit about it.
The professor has been as transparent with us as he can be about content; # of questions, type of questions, length, general concepts covered...etc...
I just suck at it. It's a required course. I have at best 2 hours left to study for it tonight, but nothing is sticking. I'd have a good chance if I could somehow memorize the problem solving in the HW/notes, as he mentioned that the questions would be nothing new, just stuff we've already done.
But I can't. I'm freaking out internally and nothing's sticking. What the fuck do I do?

Type out the 5 main formulas that will be covered.
hey, my final exam is tomorrow too! but on turbine engines. I am screaming internally so much right now.... can someone whisper sweet things into my ear and tell me it will all be fine?

I need 5 psi from 5 inches of diameter and at most double that in length. How do.

The 3 main concepts are:
>Cauchy's Relation for Traction (Tij=oijnj)
>Prandtl's formula for Torsion applications
>Airy Stress Function
Most of these relate to Boundary Value Problems. I have no idea how to set up boundaries, and I have no idea where to go...

That's me next semester
I don't get it. I absolutely understood fluid dynamics easily, I nailed newtonian/lagrangian dynamics. This, I can't even break the fog.

I am not sure what to tell you. i can't exactly greentext it for you.
See if you understand this video:

If not, tell me specifically what you don't get.

It's not exactly diffeq-type BVP's. It's a set of prescribed conditions, boundary values, and we do use some Diffeq's to solve (del-operator of a function) but overall it's not the same.

I can't help you (and likely can neither anyone on this board). Go walk through practice problems with solutions. That's usually bad advice, but you don't have time to learn it properly. Also, get the fuck off 4chan. I am sorry.

neither can*

I guess. I'm trawling through practice problems right now, but like I said, nothing's sticking. I don't get it. I'm not asking so much for the actual concept, as opposed to techniques or approaches to take.

I don't remember anything about boundries except that they were easy and I loved to do them.
Is this an ordinary/partial differntial eqs class?
