What's going on /adv/. So here's my situation:
>own 2005 Subaru Legacy
>rack and pinion is wearing away, need repairs
>that plus a few other repairs will cost a total of $2,200
>need my car for work
>only have $1,000 stashed away for emergencies
>asked for loan from bank, they deny because I'm a young fag who doesn't have credit
>don't have credit card, but getting one will take 7-14 days
I have a steady job, but I won't have the money for repairs for about 1-2 months. With the auto issues, I'm not sure how long my car will last. What's a good way to get cash quick?

Perhaps you should just buy a jalopy that functions for the money you have now, or public transport. Buses aren't that bad
I worked in a subaru shop for 2 years as a lube boy in high school. We had a motto: if you take a 1k car and do 2k in repairs, you just have a really expensive 1k car.
But for easy cash, sell coke and be a prostitute. Problem solved. In fact, just quit your job--you'll make more on the street anyway.

Actually I have anothr better idea than whoring yourself put. Sell the car to the shop--many small subaru repair places will buy broken cars from you. Take the remainder and buy a slightly worse car.

That seems like more trouble than its worth. If anything, I'll just wait for the credit card so I can pay for it. I just hate waiting.
Oh I'll tell you what's going on. Freud is a charlatan, that's what. Freud, come fight me IRL.
Lol who only stores 1k for emergencies???
You need at least 3 months of living money to even consider it an emergency fund.

Look into doing at least some of the repairs yourself. 80% of it is being able to follow directions. The other 20% is fighting with your car to get the old part off.
