Today I got my grades for my degree and I was really happy with them (got a 5.0/6 - thats a distinction) until this person; my friend, said that he did awfully. I told him at the very least he probably got a distinction and he said 'Hell no, I would kill myself if I got a distinction, my marks arent that low.'

Background history: I have anxiety and depression, and over the past year his comments have made me feel like shit and I hate myself even more. My question being- am I being a sensitive pussy by taking offence or should I distance myself for my own sake?
