Would a smartphone be a one-in-all solution to all of my daily needs, or could I have some use of a laptop occasionally?
>40 hours/week at work, a lot of downtime where i'm free to listen to music or watch an episode or two of some show
>don't really have any hobbies, just listen to music, watch a series, exercise/lift, sometimes i draw/sketch, and i'm not really interested in seeing people

I'm currently looking into getting a new job, so being able to work on my CV is required. I know there's Word for Android, but I'm worried that I can't do a good looking CV through it.
Actually what can a laptop do that my smartphone (old-ass Galaxy Note 4) can't? Aside from having a bigger screen to work/watch on, it seems to be a hassle to carry it around?

Well pretty much everything you mentioned is possible but would completely fucking blow a far as ease of use on the phone. Also phones generally go into a pocket and will silently be irradiating your gonads making you sterile and giving you prostate cancer. You will become addicted to it too because of the how convenient it will be to pull it out of your pocket. tl;dr just use your fucking laptop and dont waste your money on stupid plastic bullshit like everyone else.

You can do most things on a cellphone, but it's a heck of a lot easier and faster on a computer of some sort. If all you need a laptop for is to write a CV, then why not use public library computers or something?

I already have the phone though, I just don't use it for everything right now because I sit by my PC all day after work. Thing is, I want to quit sitting at my PC all day and experience living again instead.

Why not hold off on buying it now, and then buy one if it gets too frustrating on your phone? You could also compromise with a tablet, possibly one with a keyboard peripheral.
