I think a lot of girls and guys in this day and age have the "I don't want to settle down until I'm satisfied" thing going on. Not everyone is like you, and it's not just a male thing, it's equal parts men and women. People sometimes cheat and others sometimes decide they want to try being single again before they settle down "for good", it's not everyone for sure but a large enough number that you should look out for the signs.
