I have PTO for a doctor's appointment next week. My coworkers have to work extra to cover for me.

The doctor's office canceled the appointment and asked to reschedule like 3 weeks ago, but I never checked my voicemail.

Should I try to cancel the PTO?

Depends. If you work with food, some kind of body expulsion.

A lot of bosses will ask for documentation of you being sick or have an injury. Keep that in mind.

You can always say someone has passed and you're going to meet friends while still saying you're not going to a funeral. That sometimes works.

If you're quitting in 18 days just freakin go to work and make money. Or just don't show. You're quitting, who gives a damn.

Family emergency, no law or place of employment can dictate that you further divulge .

Keep it simple and just ride with family emergency, don't complicate it with some fabricated story.
