Here in Miami, people are paying 40% of their earnings on housing alone. It's bs.

actually i take that back, its around 50k would be the absolute minimum to survive in a large city. so comfortably would be 5k more.
i live in melbourne, australia, and i'm on 35K AUD
as in, right in the middle of the city, not on the outskirts.

depends where in miami. If you are living outside of the gables or south beach then its lower then other places even broward. I still would say around 45-50k
