Guys what do I have to do to work in an office environment?? Both of my parents were factory workers and I grew up using computers.

I really wanna work in an office but I have no idea where to start. What do those people even do?

I'd like to work at a medical center or something like that.

Depends, is college an option for you?

For the police at least you can get hired with pretty much any degree that would actually be considered a legitimate curriculum by normal schooling standards.

For anything else, it's mostly just opportunity. Internships are usually the easiest way in (Do good, they might offer you a job at the end of it) provided you don't have connections to fast track you to existing opportunities which doesn't seem like an option in your case.

I could go to community college

You can get into most desk jobs with a bachelor's. Most of these positions are testing to see if you are committed enough to actually do a job so just having a degree is usually evidence enough of that.

If you do end up going to community college be on the look-out for internship opportunities offered while you're there. Most colleges have some sort of career services center that can help you find opportunities that might transition into employment if you perform well enough.

Good luck anon
