So I'm 18, in my first year of college.
I don't pursue women, I just fap when I get horny and hang out with friends when I get lonely. I've completely given up on women.
Recently my friends have been bugging me about not pursuing women, so today I finally just told them the truth about how I'm not going after women and using porn as an outlet instead; this way I can focus on my studies, my career, my fitness.
My friends were disgusted with me, saying I objectify women. I don't see how that's true, since since I treat women I interact with in no sexual or romantic way. Purely as friends, as if they're one of my guy friends. As equals.
I already know I have no chance with them, so why make them feel uncomfortable? What's wrong with turning to porn and fapping to satisfy my sexual urges? I feel like I'm doing women a favor by not hitting on them.

You're being dramatic. I kinda thought this too. Coming out of high school I had kissed two girls, with no serious relationships, and was obviously a virgin.
I am now in my second year of college, have had sex/oral with around 6 girls, one serious relationship.
Give it time, especially now you're in college. Cut down on the porn, every now and then is fine, but if you're jerking off more than 2x per week, that's excessive. (I was doing this, came to a whole different problem of idiosyncratic masturbation style).
