Public Speaking is like the #3 most common fear. There's a ridiculous amount of advice.

Personally, I took public speaking in college. Thrown into the fire. We started with 30 second presentations about sports, minute presentations about ourselves, 2 minute presentations about a tv show, eventually our final was a 30 minute final in front of the class. In retrospect it was a terrific way to ease into it all.

I'm a business major as well, I felt the same way going into college stuck to it.

I got a job specifically working with customers so I'm forced to talk a lot. Six months later, the social anxiety ain't too bad anymore.
