She won't even file a Police Report. Sure, it's $20 glasses and theres no point, but just her mindset is what upsets me.
She blew all this money on nice stuff for herself and our house, but she doesnt buy anything to protect it.
Motion lights don't work, no fence, 60 year old locks, climbable shit in the backyard, big screen door in the back, no security system, no cameras, nothing.

All I literally have to do is get on a ladder, drill a few holes outside, and wire everything internally.
A day project at best - I don't regularly use powertools and would have to move plenty of things within a few rooms.
Moms house though - "YOU CANT DO ANYTHING UNLESS I SAY SO"
Such is life living in NYC. Rent is so high and I don't make enough to move out.

None of that shit is really effective if somebody really wants to take your shit, and paying for a guard is clearly beyond her budget. Hell, having noticeable security only tells thiefs that there is something worth protecting inside.
