/adv/, as much as I love my job, I still look forward to the weekends. But now I've been offered £480 to work for 12 hours tomorrow
I don't really need the money, but at the same time, all I'll probably do tomorrow is wake up late, do the groceries (that I can do today), and play on the PS4 or something
What would you guys do?

I would not go to work, but I despise my job.
Just work.

I would go to work without giving it a second though?
What is your job that you've been offered 480£ for 12 hours?

Hmm...

I'm a first year doctor. They're a doctor down for the weekend, and they have to pay high rates to persuade another one of us in at this short notice (no one filled the post today)

I'd say it depends on how that rate compares to a normal day's pay for you. My salary works out at about £300 a day (assuming 5 weeks holiday and a 5 day week), so I'd probably do a sunday for £500 without a second thought. If you get, say, £400 for a normal day, it's not worth doing it just for the money, but you might want to do it for other reasons.

Even though you don't need the money now or even any time soon, almost 500 bucks for 12h sounds like a pretty good deal; and your plan for the day doesn't exactly sound inspiring.
I'd go to work so hard.

Yeah, I guess you guys are right... I'm going to take the shift
From someone who make 80$ per day, I hate everyone in this thread.

Not a single person here is responsible for your shitty salary but you. Although hatred is still a pointless emotion by itself so turn it into motivation to learn valuable skills.

I know we're on /adv/ but no need to take everything so seriously nor believe everything requires an advice (too generic besides). Although the jealousy is real.
Kudos for bugging me over the "shitty salary" line by the way. I'm working on that but it takes years of experience and I don't have the patience anymore.
Time to vent on /int/.
