I'm in my mid 20s and I really miss watching anime. It's just that I can't find anything aimed at my demographic. I used to watch a lot of stuff in my teens but I'm really not into those anymore.
currently watching dragon ball super but more for nostalgic reasons than anything else
Most anime is aimed at adults...
Try kill la kill great anime

Ehh just watch more stuff. Maybe rewatch old stuff and see if it holds up without the nostalgia goggles. What were you into? IMO dragon ball z is hard to rewatching. Original dragon ball is fun though.
Bounce around a bit. Watch the first episode of something at random and see if it works for you. If it doesn't, rinse and repeat. If it tickles your fancy proceed through it.

Go to japan OP. I did.
What you will discover is, you really don't like anime, you like japan.
Watch Shinsekai yori.
> A lot of people get turned off because it has 1 or 2 episodes dealing with homosexuality, but the story is set up to deal with the topic.

Also the beautiful thing about anime is that you can pick whatever topic interests you (psychological, philosophical, whatever) and anime will probably have a good series on the topic.

I had the same experience. I kind of stopped watching anime. Went to Japan to visit friends and had an amazing time. Started watching anime again to get those feels and go to Japan 1-2 times a year now.
