How do you know when a stalker is dangerous? I have had a stalker

The thing about crazy ppl is that u can't predict when they'll have an episode and that could mean anything from her crying at home for 16 hrs straight or her burning your house down while u sleep

Just go to the police or something. Even if you don't mean to press charges on her or anything you'll want to establish a paper trail.

I already have gone to the police. She isnt doing anything illegal, or overtly threatening so they cant do much, she isnt inasive, just creepy, all she does is leave gifts and notes and occasionally we are in the same area, but she doesnt bug me, just watches for a few minutes from behind a tree then fucks off. Niether girlfriend i had even noticed her. She did leave a big ass bag of candy on my doorstep on halloween. But usually she leaves the gifts on my lawn outside my house.

As long as the cops are aware of the situation for if/when it does go bad, you sound like you're in the clear. The only thing you really can do at this point is get a restraining order, but in all honesty if she's not fucking with you then it's probably more effort than it's worth. I would just reject all presents, especially if she will know you've rejected them, to try and give her the hint she needs to stop.
Or really, if you haven't already, just talk to her. She's clearly not healthy, it'd be for her own good mostly for her to quit this. Talking to her can give you an idea of how crazy she is too, if she can even listen to reason or not. Just do it in a public place and probs have some sort of self defense ready (like mace) just in case.
Let her know for sure you aren't interested and that you don't want her presents, politely but firmly.
