the process goes like this:
>enlist in the Army 11X Opt. 40
>complete basic training (easy AF)
>complete airborne school (also easy AF)
>complete RASP (not easy but totally doable)
voila, you're in
tips:
>read Sua Sponte by Dick Couch
>ignore the RASP episode of Makimg the Cut
>do not let your recruiter sell you on 18X no matter how cool SF sounds, it is a trap
>do not sign a contract that does not say Opt 40
>if you actually want to do Ranger shit, do not take any MOS besides 11X
>do not be a pussy and surrender your contract when they tell you how hard RASP/life in regiment is
>never ever quit, RASP is a self selecting course, if you make it to the end and complete every task to standard you are in
>ideally have a 100 in every PT test category before Basic
>lube up your asshole because Basic sucks, RASP sucks, even if you do well random shit like injuries or forgetting some piece of equipment can still get you dropped, and at the end of it all life as a private at Ranger battalion fucking sucks and Ranger School sucks even more
