Need some uni advice, biochem student here. Currently I'm behind on thermodynamic physical chemistry class. I've been an idiot and did not follow the assignment/lectures closely, everything slipped past so fast. Lecturer going over filler long slow and actual material fast probably didn't help. Right now, i know jack shit about the second and third law in term of formula, application in actual problem solving (proven by my midterm grade) and it seems like everything that has came after involves them somehow. The only good thing is that I got an A on the 1st midterm with gas and 1st law.
Right now, I'm past second midterm, the final is in a bit less than a month. Is passing the class still possible? Should I bother to go to the lecture at all? Or is studying from the book (Atkin) in the library a better idea?
Get off 4chan and hit the boring books. Best advice I can give you. Sincerely, Anon

Do both. The classes bring up lots of doubts that the teacher can explain.

The problem is that the last time I went, the concept seemed to be quite straight forward but when the stuff involving 2nd and 3rd law came in, I didn't even know where to begin asking my question. I was so confused and overwhelmed that I was just sitting there and felt dumb.

What about the lectures?
