Hi there /adv/
On Thursday I'll go to the movies with some friends, including the girl I like (she likes me back too). We're not dating yet, but if I don't screw up we'll probably end up doing it soon.
Anyway, here's the thing - I'm responsible of buying the tickets for everyone, including hers, but that means now that she'll have to pay me for her ticket... which I find highly uncomfortable.
Should I invite her, or accept her money? One of my friends says I should just accept her money, because we're not dating yet and also because she may feel uncomfortable knowing that I paid for her.
What do you think?

What in the world is wrong with this? Also are you going to see Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them?
Just ask her if she wants you to cover her ticket or not. Tell her what you told us.

Buy the ticket, don't ask her for the money. If she pays you for it and you want to be a white knight, you can say "You don't have to" ONCE. If she asks why, just say "Why not, I want to pay for it." If she insists on paying, let her pay.

There's nothing wrong I guess, just me and my dumb inner 'gentleman'.

That would be fine too, but I think I'll do what >>17757488 says. Seems reasonable.
Thank you!

Oh and yes, we're going to see Fantastic Beasts. We're both big Potterheads.
