Depends on your definition of living. You can be alive while alone alright. Not so sure about actually living though. You have friends and a close relationship with your parents though so you're not even close to being alone yet. Trust me, when you get down to exactly zero relationships with other people, it's a whole nother ball park.

Living a lonely life is hardly ever the single or major factor in suicide. You know you still have your parents and friends, people that will clearly be upset if you kill yourself. Killing yourself out of loneliness is usually for those with absolutely no one left.

You're in luck because such a "diagnosis" isn't based on any medical proof and you're just shy and inexperienced.

My advice to you is to go out with your friends to bars/clubs/daytime activities until your shyness lets up because you're getting used to being in public.

I too was shy but had NO friends, so I'd go out alone to a bar with live rock music playing, drink a few beers smoke a few cigarettes until I became too self conscious, then leave. Next time I'd stay a bit longer, next time a bit longer than that. In the end some guy I saw a couple of times there asked me something music related since he always sees me there and he became my first friend, after that I met his friend group and now I'm a normal person.

Life is incredibly empty without friends.

"psychological diseases" are just ways of defining a person's mental state. And you can always change your mental state.
