What color is it? If it's bright red and looks fresh, it's probably just hemorrhoids. If it's dark, you might have some intestinal issue.

Short answer is go see a doctor.


Had the same issue myself, was bright red blood. Doctor told me i had cracking in my rectum, and it was due to a lack of fiber. Granted i really had no fiber in my diet. Once i had more consistent bowels from more fiber it went away.

If it is an ulcer or intestinal problem your stools will be black and tarry. Green tint means not enough fiber. Bright red blood means something about your rectum rather than deeper inside in the stomach or intestines.
