Hey /adv/, I'm currently looking at majors for university. And I want to get into Pharmacy but that's competitive entry and I'm uncertain that I'll make it so I need a back-up plan. So could anyone please tell me what field:
>only requires a bachelor's to get a job
>doesn't require any prior experience to get into the job market or internships provide enough experience
>has jobs that have a 40 to 55 hour long work week
>has good job security
>pays decently well, more than 37500USD
>lots of jobs
STEM would be preferred, although I'm open to other options. I live in Canada and am willing to move anywhere in the country after college. Thanks in advance.
Nurse
Statistician

I also believe its saturated. Do a bit more research. Not sure how it is now
As far as what else you said: Accounting, Engineering, CS, and a few others.
Lots of jobs and job security with just a Bach is all about Engineering or Accounting
You are not going to get into Pharmacy with that mind set. What'll probably happen is you'll quit plan A about 2-3 years into college and head straight for plan B or just drop out altogether. Nobody's going to spend a decade in college to get into a field they have doubts about.
>I live in Canada and am willing to move anywhere in the country after college.
It'll be harder for you to get into any country worth living in as a foreigner.

Huh, where did you hear that from?
Accounting, Computer Science or Engineering, Management Level IT, or Marketing.
There's also Nuclear or Mining Engineering but you'd have to leave Canuckistan for any good work.

Just look up "Is Pharmacy Saturated." Not sure about Canada, but it doesn't seem what it used to be. Sure as hell does not guarantee you a job like an MD has.
But then again, most jobs are. Just have good networking skills and the flexibility to move to a new area if there are no jobs nearby. Becoming an MD, PA, or Dentist just seem like better options if you plan on going into medical.

>Majoring in IT
All you need for IT is certs. If you're going to major in anything computer-related, go for computer science.
>Nuclear engineering
Not sure about Canada, but it's declining here in the United States.
>Marketing
A degree in marketing is useless. Any degree I can sum up in just one statement is a joke
