Friends are easy man, most people enjoy making new friends, you just have to put yourself in situations to meet people, do a degree, get a job, join a local club of some kind (sport/gaming/training/martial arts), once you're on a first name basis with someone it's incredibly easy to develop a friendship. Hell I'd be your friend if I ran into you, so I'm sure there is plenty of like minded people out there.
