What if it were apparent to you, that you were all that existed? That all of this was your own clever game that you played with yourself. Debilitating physical illness that had me in hospital for a long time on morphine, ketamine, and a whole bunch of stuff that made me want to die once the withdrawals happened for the better part of 5 years. Closest relatives who were far to young, dying. I was depressed and anxious for years, and I ended up isolating myself for half a decade. My friends tried to help me, but I was a dick and avoided them. Chronic pain and chronic derealization made it difficult to be social. I've now moved to a place where I hardly know anyone. My physical condition has recovered quite a lot since then, but everything still just feels so wrong.

I've been making an effort to do this. I socialise somewhat at work and in my studies, but there's only a couple people of both sexes that I could call friends. But I'm not nearly close enough with them to really reach out. I feel like if I were to open up to them, they will get weirded out or think I'm a creep, so I just stay very reserved and repress everything. I do like the idea of a hobby, I should consider finding something.

I see what you are saying, and I did used to value loneliness, but my problem is that it is greatly unbalanced now. I wish I could be grateful for loneliness, but when you never feel the opposite anymore, It gets to a point where it becomes so painful
