How do you make friends as an introverted young adult? I've

And by young adult I mean early 20's, old enough to drink yadda yadda, no teenage bullshit

I'm in the same situation, except I'm a married woman.

I'm 25, he's 28. We get along as friends do (we were friends before marriage), but he needs other men to befriend and I need other women.

We moved across the country in August 2015 for both our jobs. People are friendly here, the crowd is young and the town is growing, but we cannot find a stable group of friends in the same life situations as us.

Most of the people we find our age with our interests end up being less mature than we'd like. Still live at home with parents, haven't had a long term relationship, or constantly go out and have no relationships of value. We like to go out for drinks or other things, but only once or twice a week.

You aren't alone, OP. Seems to be the older you are the harder it is to make friends...sorry I couldn't offer any advice. But I will bump your thread.

Getting married that young is retarded if you didn't want to settle down. Young people don't want to hang out with married people. Every single one of my married friends complains about that shit but they fail to realize they are a drag. I'm 26 and my group of friends likes to get fucked up on the weekends and rarely make plans outside of getting drunk and coming up with shit to do on the go which could end up in going to strip clubs, casinos or a lot of other spontaneous shit that our married buddies can't do without permission.

I can't speak for females because all the ones I associate with are pretty shit people and I doubt you'd want to hang out with them. My advice to your husband is to start golfing, it seems to be how a lot of my married male friends have met guys in similar situations who aren't too boring. I even go to the course with them every now and then and it's pretty fun and one of the last guy clubs left.

Maybe you should do the same, find a hobby that is typically female and join a group. There are even female only groups in my city that are just women who get together and go out drinking.

Things happen at a different age for different people. Many of my friends are settling down, or already have.

I don't care that people my age want to party or live at home. I moved out at 17, my husband at 18. These people we meet with our interests don't even drive, their parents or friends do it. It's bizarre.

I want to settle, we are. Buying a house and everything. In another 2-3 years we want to have kids. I'd love a couple to also befriend, but I have no idea how to do this. That is what I desire, and sounds like what OP wants too. As I mentioned in my original post, I don't want to go out. I just want a married woman to chat with and maybe hang out with from time to tome

Fucking hilarious you mentioned that. I was the one who golfed, got a scholarship and went to school for it. It was really cheap where we used to live, now it is $30 without a cart to play. And when I play, I'm serious. I want to go to the course or range at least 4 times a week, otherwise my game suffers.

Anyway, this isn't about me, it is about OP and other people who want to find a mature friend.

We also live I a state where weed is legal, and about twice a month we smoke, mainly because we both would get tested at work. It is really wierd that the people we find our age still live at home, don't get fucked up, don't smoke weed (smoke cigarettes like a chimney), don't like multi-player games except fucking MOBA like League or Overwatch, and spend their money on strange shit they use once and never again. Like kids in an adult body.
